I have a 2007 slk 350 and recently I have noticed an engine vibration when the vehicle is idling. The vibration at times seems to diminish after the engine warms up, but then sometimes not diminish. At times it also seems to oscillate from very noticeable to hardly any vibration at all. The vehicle has approx. 95k miles. Any idea as to what this may be? Thanks

Check your engine mounts.
Yes. But I don't know what you're supposed to check. Obvioulsy if they're leaking, but my new engine mounts made a significant improvement to the idling, yet when I inspected them on the bench, they looked good to me.

When we first bought our 350 we had this problem. It would quite often cause the hood to vibrate and we could feel it on the floor with out feet. New motor and trans mounts fixed it.
