The shops want to charge me $280 for the battery and $30 to install. I'm wondering if this is something I can do myself? Or would the tools required end up costing more than labor?

I tried finding a good alternative battery from WalMart, but their battery-finder didn't show anything for my model (listed on the side).

Thanks.

and if mb, and you had service there within 18 months, installation is free either by service battery visit guy or in the dealer service

AutoZone will order this one Odyssey 94R-850 which is a AGM. As Leonard stated they also carry a H6 . I put the 94R-850 a couple years back. The extra 100 amp does make a difference. Exchanging is just a 15 minutes job. These weigh in around 60 lbs.

The website says that does not fit my vehicle. Are they wrong?
Like I found, you want an H6 (that 94R is H7 and will fit my '55). What you can do is compare sizes in inches: measure your existing battery, see how it fits in the tray and compare that size to the H6 (vs H7).
