How do I wire in puddle lights for new mirror covers?
I am replacing the OEM door mirror covers on my '02, SLK, with a new arrow style set, that has puddle lights. My original covers are on electric mirrors, with heaters, but did not have the puddle lights.
I would like to have them light up as I use the key fob to unlock the doors, but haven't got a clue on if this can be done.
I know I can just leave them unwired when I replace the covers, but since I have them, would like to use them.
If anyone has done this and has pictures that would be a great help.
Ideally I would like them to work like the dome light, they would come on for a minute or two and then fade out.
If this involves door panel removal, I will be hitting you up with some help on that probably also.
