Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I are taking a drive down to Croft Citcuit on Sunday 14th JUNE for round 5 of this years HiQ MSA Britsh Touring Car Championship.

The BTCC is one of the most exciting forms of motorsport with high speeds, loads of overtaking and plenty of contact.

I am hoping for a top down drive (forecast, sunshine and showers) and was wondering if anyone else was going?

Unfortunately am unable to go.
Does anyone know of an SLK meeting in GB this summer?
Would it be worth trying to set one up?
Please give me your views.

SO I'm certainly interested, and now that I have a SLK on this side of the pond, even more keen that ever. I'm stuck traveling (again!?) to Pig Flu land, returning the 3/4th of July.

I'm down in Greenwich, but willing to travel to anywhere interesting - just need a bit o'notice. Wifey and I are National Trust members as well, and that's our "usual" weekend trip planner.

I'd also (and no clue what would be involved!) interested in a track day sorta thing - that might require extra wine-ing and dining for the wifey, but hey! :)

Hey Norm - yeah, sounds exactly what I was thinking of! I'm extremely time limited as well w/regard to arraigning and organizing, but would be willing to assist as needed after I get back from Mexico in early July.

It would be a laugh and an excuse for all the UK SLK members to try to get together.

Anyone interested in organising a day out?

Hi Guys
I'm prepared to sort something out after next week as a I am away in Austria till 20th June.
Have never been to a track day before, I too have a 200 and wouldn't like to take it on the track.
Haven't looked at the programme yet but could we all get to Oulton Park circuit for example in Cheshire for a meeting there for example, perhaps have an overnight in Chester or somewhere nearby. Just a thought for now.
I'll give it some thought
Regards

If you are prepared to sort it Dave, I am sure loads of people will be greatful, me included. :tu:

UK200 said he is busy till after the 1st week in July so anytime towards the end of July or August would be great, I am sure once a day is sorted a lot of members will be very interested.

Santa Pod is a drag strip and I would be willing to take my 200 down there, not sure if I would want to take it around a track though, I might have to just add some ballast to a members 55 for them:bannana:

Thanks again Dave.
