Hi all! New member here. My name is Aaron and I’m a 2015 SLK 250 owner by proxy (aka my wife bought it and I get stuck fixing it.) Overall, good car - but it’s 8 years old and all the small stuff is piling on at once. So far I’ve replaced the glovebox, tires (rears twice, fronts once), brake pads all around, front wheel speed sensors, brake pedal sensor, air filter, cabin air filter (twice), spark plugs, a few oil changes. In desperate need of a paint job and new seat cushion covers, torn up from baking in Texas and Florida sun. I just bought aftermarket seat covers to tide it over until I can afford reupholstering and a paint job ($9k!!!!). She loves the thing and is insistent on keeping it as long as possible.

Thanks, Jeff! The smart top mod looks pretty cool. I couldn’t get the top up the other day because the wheel speed sensors made the car look like it was moving even though in park. Glad I got that resolved. Definitely would be cool to join a meet. Thanks for the info.
