You don't have to send it. You can stay a guest if you want
You don't want to update your location, don't do it either.
Just because the SLK is made worldwide, you think there are differences that your location might assist the members when answering your questions?
We ask you to update your profile for a reason, location and model and year.
Updating your profile takes a whole 30 seconds!
And with a wonderful attitude like that, I'm sure our helpful and friendly members will love to welcome and assist you if you have an issue
We are the friendliest and most helpful SLK forum on the web
We do not ask a lot of new members.
As a founding member and moderator, I have been here 9 years and welcomed over 35000 new members
When you became a new member you overlooked this:
The new member section says:
New Members Introduce Yourself Here
New members come here first! This is where you can create a new topic to introduce yourself and tell us who you are. Please update your user profile and tell us about your car and add photos.
Welcome to SLKWorld.com: The #1 Mercedes-Benz SLK Forum from Valrico, Florida!
First please update your location in your profile as it helps the members answer your questions which usually are based on that information if you haven’t.
Follow exactly to update: ‘Usercp’ at the top of page, then ‘edit your details’ on the left side, ‘additional information’ near the bottom, edit your ‘location’ . Info in your garage does not update your profile.
Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.
Post your vin in the Vehicle Datacard Request section to get a free datacard (options on your car). You must update your profile with vehicle info and your location and post an introduction first.

Hog Butcher for the World,
Tool Maker, Stacker of Wheat,
Player with Railroads and the Nation's Freight Handler;
Stormy, husky, brawling,
State of the Big Shoulders:
They tell me you are wicked and I believe them, for I have seen your painted women under the gas lamps luring the farm boys.
And they tell me you are crooked and I answer: Yes, it is true I have seen the gunman kill and go free to kill again.
And they tell me you are brutal and my reply is: On the faces of women and children I have seen the marks of wanton hunger.
And having answered so I turn once more to those who sneer at this my city, and I give them back the sneer and say to them:
Come and show me another city with lifted head singing so proud to be alive and coarse and strong and cunning.
Flinging magnetic curses amid the toil of piling job on job, here is a tall bold slugger set vivid against the little soft cities;
Fierce as a dog with tongue lapping for action, cunning as a savage pitted against the wilderness,
Building, breaking, rebuilding,
Under the smoke, dust all over his mouth, laughing with white teeth,
Under the terrible burden of destiny laughing as a young man laughs,
Laughing even as an ignorant fighter laughs who has never lost a battle,
Bragging and laughing that under his wrist is the pulse, and under his ribs the heart of the people,
Laughing the stormy, husky, brawling laughter of Youth, half-naked, sweating, proud to be Hog Butcher,
Stacker of Wheat, Player with Railroads
and Freight Handler to the Nation.
Myself & my wife test drove a 2016 sub 20,000 miles SLK250d AMG Sport last Sunday. Fitted with the 9G-Tronic gearbox & flappy paddle override.
Talk about an impressive bit of kit! :)
The last auto I owned was a 1996 Honda Civic. Good car but a terrible gearbox! By comparison the 9G...

Just found this site while looking at upgrade possibilities for stereo in my 2009 SLK350. Bought it about a week ago with ~48000 miles on it. Currently is 6th car (until I sell something?). Will be commuter. Looked at Toyota 86 (too little power), Lotus Elise (too hard to get in/out), and...
