I am the proud owner of a 2001 SLK 200, R170, in excellent condition, which I have owned for nearly 4 years now, and use as a fun car.

I did own a 67 V8 Mustang for 22 years, but I was getting too old to be getting under it and bending over the bonnet, (hood), that was one huge engine.
I sold it to a younger very keen guy who had drooled over it a few times for a "special" price, and he promised to look after it. Sad thing is within a few months it had changed colour, and had go faster wheels put on it, but I realised it was no longer my car, and just shrugged my shoulders.

I then bought the SLK, the car I always wanted but could not afford when I was younger, and it has performed amazingly, until last week when the indicators failed.
I investigated and have found a "sick" voltage, but more on that when I get to posting for advice, at the moment I am looking around the site and reading, and posting my first emails.
Kind regards to you all,
Brian

Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.

Hi Brian,

Welcome from the Wirral.

If your interested on meeting fellow SLKers then keep an eye on the UK region.
The meet calendar lists many, but not all of our get togethers.

Some are small coffee meets, others we join in with car meets, festivals and such.

Midlands is probably the nearest active area, but Cheshire is starting to have a few meets/lunches this year.

See you around,
