hi all!!

just bought my first slk, 230 compressor, 1998 only 2 days ago!! the car is awesome, great condition for its age, only 56,000 miles!! just getting to know it at the moment.

i do have 1 questin if this is the rigt place, the drivers side foglight is only fixed at one side, so is wobbling a little, the fixing on the right side of it as viewed frm the front. (right hand drive!!)

Perhaps some photos of where you think it is loose on the foglight.

Welcome from New Hampshire. There are two nuts per side that hold the fog light in place. Just in front of each tire there is a little plastic door that will give you access to the fog lights.

hi eddy, thanks for your reply, as you see from the photo, the lamp is not secured at the right side, there is an access panel in the wheel arch to enable you to change bulbs, but its awkward, and i cannot see how it should attach from there. just wondered if anyone knew how it should fix, or will i have to remove some panels etc?

is your car green metallic?
You may be able to reach from the front to find out if its a missing bolt or broken tab. However you will need to go through the door in the wheel well to replace bolts etc.
P.S. the bolts go from the bottom up
and here's a pic to show where the mounting tabs are

thanks for the info guys, it was a broken tab on the foglight, got a replacement from MB no problem, thanks again!!!!

oh and thanks for all the welcomes!!!!!!
