Some tips to make your visit here more enjoyable:
If you haven’t, please use the 'search' feature at the top right of the page for your questions as they have probably been asked before. Remember, ‘Search’ is your friend.
If you wish to become PM (Private Message) capable, you need 15 posts. To get those 15 posts quickly, just go to the ‘New members introduce yourself here’ section and welcome enough new members to obtain your needed posts to PM.
Want to post a picture? Start a new thread or make a post, click ‘edit’, click on the ‘paper clip’ or ‘advanced’ and/or ‘manage attachments’ then ‘choose file’ then ‘upload’ and ‘submit’! If Iphone pics, you need to rename any additional pics as Iphone names its pics all the same, image.jpg.
Want to ‘like’ or thank’ someone’s comments? Use the ‘like’ button to the right or the ‘Thanks’ button, bottom right of any post you like. This saves you having to comment.
New members should be aware that the 'New Posts' link next to the 'Search' link top right of the info bar is a great way to see all of the posts you have missed since you were on the forum last. Remember to click 'mark forums read' under ‘quick links’ when you leave.

you check the owner's manual for fuses? :D
here you go!

fuse 57 start enable?
According to one of the diagrams in the thread that Jeff shared, fuse 57 should be a 5A fuse... if there's a 25A fuse in that location, I'd be worried about why, and what issue caused someone to put a 25A fuse in there in the first place.

Welcome from Wirral, England.

U.S. Southeast Region - Mercedes Benz SLK Forum

That's your regional thread.
A place for local advice, meets and such.

Good luck with the fuse issue. It may be that the fuse blew before and the higher rated one
was all that they had to hand at the time.

That's still something to be alert too.
Clearly something keeps causing the fuse to blow.
But to blow a much higher rated fuse?
Don't be tempted to put a higher rated fuse back in.
Eventually the fuse won't blow but the problem will manifest itself elsewhere.

Get an auto electrician on the case.

Thank you! I think we all do :)
A quick tip when replying to somebody's comment in a thread...

It's easier to know who you're responding to if you use the "Quote" button under their post, rather than replying with the "Quick Reply" button. :)

Welcome from Little River, SC.

We have a NC/SC SLK Owners Group that gets together around every 3 months for a Saturday of enjoying our SLK's as a group. No fees or dues just what you have for lunch. Our get together is a way to pick up some good tips on your SLK.

If you or anyone else interested in joining us just email us for more info.

[email protected]

On this forum under the heading of US South East Regions look for posts on NC/SC Group meets for pictures of past meets. On Facebook under NC/SC SLK Group

Good way to meet others and learn about SLK's by talking to other owners.

Come out and join us.
