I have owned my car for about 4 months now and have started to put money aside. I would love some recommendations on this to get for my 2012 350. I'm open to anything but I trust you guys to lead me in an awsome direction.

Thanks in advance

Not much for a r172 M276 engine from Kleemann except an ecu tune

350-K1(BE): ECU tuning. Up to 330 HP and 400 Nm (296 lb-ft) of torque.

https://catalog.kleemann.dk/catalog/engine/ecu-software-upgrades/ecu-upgrade-normally-aspirated/300-350-v6-m276/

you can always do sound improvement with maybe an X or straight pipe
Ohhhhhh... how did I miss this thread???? Super thanks Jeff. This is the first I am hearing/seeing an ECU upgrade for our 350 by Kleeman. I am definitely going for it.

This may be my Xmas gift to myself (assuming the spouse agrees....) so need to find a local shop in MA that can perform this...or do I just mail them my ECU and have it tuned and sent back... is that it, or does it include software upgrade as well? I have emailed Kleeman USA and hoping to get some answers...

Heard from Kleemann USA today. The cost is $1295 + $70 (overnight postage fee) to gain ~20-25Hp and ~20Ibft of torque. My frame of reference is the Stage 1 (APR) ECU tune on my Audi A4 cost me $600 for +50Hp and +50Ibft of torque. Money well spent... So when I put this Kleeman (SLK350) cost/performance gain next to that of APR (Audi A4), the numbers just don't seem to add up... Hmmmm....

If me I'd be looking for a house doing 3.6 Pentastar mods. M276 is a Pentastar with direct injection & an engine does not care whose name is on the valve covers.

Diablo would be a good place for talking but stock N/A ones have 300 bhp & see boosted Wranglers with over 400 bhp.

Only thing available right now on a serious level is the over hyped Kleimann and Piecha racket. Yes they do have bigger cams, headers (M272) only right now and undersized engine pulleys and tune which would be most advisable only AFTER doing the mechanical engine mods FIRST unless you just want to piss away all that money for a claimed skimpy 20-25 HP gain. I am really waiting for a turbo manufacturing company to develop something for the M276, then I will jump at modding engine. Right now there is really nothing worth the money so just gonna sit all back of the bus for now.

You in the same R172 boat as me. OK, here it is bottom line: 1.aFe Pro-dry filter 2. Piecha (actually Fox) stainless x-pipe and mufflers (back boxes) 3. Peddle booster-they all the same (VR racing has the exact Piecha brand booster without Piecha logo for $250/$50 less than Piecha) 4. Performance rotors and ceramic brake pads:http://brakeperformance.com/brake-rotors/ 5. If you got the scratch, Kleimann tune (there are others that will do for less than $1000 though with the same results)

Fast and pretty. Doesn't get any better than that!
Ya it sure beats fast and ugly like some of these American cars. I actually was looking at the new 2018 Mustang GT convertibles and they are pretty cool and definitely fast but after looking at my 350 again it was definitely uglier>:D Thing is, I don't like attention but the 350 draws a lot of it and everybody in the world owns a Mustang GT now hence the reason why they drop in value so much. SLK's will go up in value as they are not made anymore:wink:

You are so right. SLK's do make folks look, and I don't mind. More than that they are so much fun..fun...fun to drive. Only thing I miss is the "baby Ruth rumble" of American steel. That being said, my son and I just bought a '69 GTX to restore. Love the sound and particularly the torque (440 HP). But give me my "Toy" for smirky fun! 😈😈😈. 😈😈. 32's Rule!

@rob, your car has enough low end rumble and sweet music to boot. Not quite a V8 level but darn good for a V6 with that modified exhaust setup.... I love love the sound of mine and it is the best darn reason I drive the car now. Just the exhaust sound alone is worth the drive.

Agreed BUT when you have owned or driven one of these below, it is dearly missed because it is a sound like no other. These cars come stock with 420+HP and can be tweaked and modded to produce up to a 1000 HP, aftermarket options and manufacturers are a plenty. Mind you the video doesn't do justice but here is a clip of the exhaust work I did on the 2014 Mustang GT that I had before I got the SLK:
