Hey guys, i need some help with my infotainment system, i have recently acquired an SLC180 from Germany. I live in Greece. I am trying to find a way to enable carplay as i find it very useful. however the dealers in Greece say that it is not possible but they do not offer any believable proof. my car is model 05/2017 and it has the audio 20 system installed and also the two usb ports are installed as well. searching through the web i read that audio 20 on models produced from 2016 onwards is carplay capable. also in the owner's manual of the audio 20 it is described how to connect to carplay and how to use it so i do not understand why the dealers say it is not possible. trying to find my audio 20 model i had no luck so if someone knows where i can find this or how please advise.

also if someone can offer a solution on how to enable carplay it would be life saving!

thank you in advance for the help!!!

Two things make it unlikely:

1: the Audio 20 is barely a radio. It is the base MB system and does not do much (but is generally easy to uprade.

2) Carplay lists the following MB models as compatible:
2016 - 2017 A-Class
2016 - 2017 B-Class
2016 - 2017 CLA-Class
2016 - 2017 CLS-Class
2016 - 2017 E-Class Cabriolet
2016 - 2017 E-Class Coupe
2016 - 2017 GLA-Class
2016 - 2017 GLE-Class
2017 E-Class
2017 SL-Class

Think "SL-Class" refers to the senior cars and not the juniors like ours.

Thanks for the info! The thing is that I find it very annoying that car audio systems sold in the market from 300$ to support Carplay so a 1990 Lada can have it, and MB does not offer that by default in their 2017 models that cost over 60K. And further to that, include in the manual instructions on how to use Carplay with your Audio 20 system.

Mine is the Audio 20 with Map Pilot and 2 usb ports (one has the little screen), so theoretically the hardware is there. The Carplay software is missing which can be uploaded like in other models where it gets unblocked through the Obd.
