2000 SLK 5 speed problem
Friday night when I got off work, I went to Walmart. When I walked out, my alarm was going off, my door unlocked, my interior light on, and my tow light was on. The interior light would only turn off by keeping it off of door, the alarm would go off 30 seconds after locked now, and the tow light will not turn off...i disconnected the battery, waited 90 seconds and no change...So I got everything of value from my car and parked it at the house with the doors unlocked.
Sunday, after raining for 2 days solid, I get in the car and everything seems to work fine! Yaaayyy, but then i drive it about a mile and the tow light starts flashing, the light on my dash starts flashing that I have a bulb out, my door locks are going up and down, and when I get out of the car, the parking lights will not go off. I know not to even think about locking the door, because this is embarrassing enough having to lift the hood at a shopping center to discoonect the battery on my car.
I have read that the PSE is notorious for going aout in damp weather, and something about a battery on an alarm under the windshield being bad. Does anyone know the problem with the car before throwing money at these parts, and if there may be another problem involved?
