Hi, I'm new here and new ton owning a Mercedes. I took my classic German car off the road for and needed something to drive during the process. I chose a 12 year old SLK230 auto with 48,000 miles on the clock.
I've driven the SLK of a friend and enjoyed it - hence this choice for my runabout. I will be ferreting through this site for words/pearls of wisdom but would like a heads-up on the things I need to know. Over to you...

Hi Keith, welcome from down the road in NE England. Strangely enough, we're just putting plans together for a blast round Northumberland/the Borders - check out THIS thread. BTW, how did you get your user name?.

Welcome from London via Dublin, and as Woolly said - keep an eye out for the "Great Norf Sheep Chases".

Overflying Scotland

Ouch, Scotland definitely is in whiteout at the moment. Thankfully I am 110 miles south in Lancashire where, viewed from the air, it really s: 'England's Green and Pleasant Land.'
She who must be obeyed who is in Scotland tells me the weather is too bad to drive home. Shame really, I have been wanting to let my new purchase (old 230k with low miles) loose on the main road home.
Cheers
KP
