As a new owner I am keen to find out as much about these SLK cars as possible. So I have joined the Forum.
I have always been a Ford man, and still am. I have a Focus for everyday running about, but when the the chance came up of enjoying the sophication and performance of an AMG 55 it was too good an opputunity to miss.
As you can see from my profile I also own a Replica GT40. With family and financal comitments it took me a long, long...... long time to build but after all sorts difficulties I got there in the end. Having fallen in love with the originals at Le Mans it was the fulfillment of a teenage dream.
It has been on the road for the last two Summers and is great fun. I reckon if I carry on developing it for the next 20years it might be as good as the AMG is now. So in the meantime I will have the best of both Worlds. Carrying on with developing the 40, and enjoying an already brilliant car.
