My name is Lee. I am from Vassar, Michigan. My Mum was born in Ottawa Ontario, and raised in St. Catharines Ontario, until the age of 20. She met my Dad from Detroit Michigan. He was born and raised in Dublin Ireland, at the age of 21 moved to Detroit. So I am 1/2 French Canadian & 1/2 Irish. Like my Mum I can speak french quite fluidly. I was born in Marlette Michigan. I am 61 but feel like I am in my 30's. I own a 2007 MB SLK-55-AMG. from Chicago. It is a bit different,, although than most of the 55 AMG's for that year. The car was originally bought in California. In 2012 the car got stolen. The engine, seats, radio/GPS, system, tires/wheels were taken. Everything was replaced, but, the engine that was put back into the car, came from a 2012 or 2013 It's a 5.5 with twin turbos. I am not sure of the HP that particular engine has, but it is extremely fast. It has the retractable HT, new black seats, with black leather interior. Except for the engine, everything was put back to factory. I am not sure about the wheels though. It has 19"/16 spoke with continental tires. I was told most of the wheels are 18" but was also told 19" were also factory wheels as well. So this 55 had its share of issues. I still do have some headlight issues and hope this forum and group can help me. I also have another issue when I purchased the car, where I can ask you nice people for advice and help. When the car was stolen, they scratched up the trunk area because they also took the rear spoiler. I got that replaced and painted by a body shop. Its absolutly beautiful. Again, I do need some feedback on some issues. So this is my story, I also want to thank you for allowing me to be part of this group and forum. Sincerely Lee M.
