Bought my 350 about 4 months ago and can't keep thinking the steering is quite heavy.
Was told by the dealer that is the way they are,but not having ever driven another was wondering how heavy it should be.
I'm comparing it with say a VW transporter which is quite light or a Masda 3 series which is lighter again.:frown:

Time for new tires or at least experiment with changing the air pressure

We've got a 350 and I keep thinking the steering is a little heavy on that too. It's all relative though as for most of the time I drive my Mondeo which has a much lighter feel.
My own view is that I prefer a heavier feel for a performance car like the SLK.

Incidentally. Had a very spirited drive last night with a VW Passat driver trying to keep up with me behind. I was definitely pushing it so goodness knows how much sweat the Passat driver had on his brow by the time we hit the 30mph zone and the fun ended.

Your datacard doesn't show option 213, parameter steering.
And that makes a whole lot of difference.
My previous one had it but my current one doesn't, so I immediately noticed the difference. Yes it is heavy, but like your dealer says that's the way they are. Without option 213 that is.
