Headlights Tinting.

Hi
Good day
Everyone.

Since I got my SLK last month I have to do whatever necessary to "preserve" it, LOL. >:D
One of the first thing was to tint the headlight, to prevent:
damage by small stones & pebbles usually thrown on to it by front vehicles.
UV light over a period of time can cause yellowish or fade or blur

With tinting it can also enhance the lighting look prettier, LOL.
I have decided to use a Blueish tint.
Cost about USD25.00

Thank you & have a nice day

Hi Hui, looks nice thx for sharing.

The headlight covers can look rotten once corrosion kicks in. The struggle I've had is cleaning them up. Tried 2 different kits 'Meguirs' and 'Turtle'. Both boasted easy and effective solutions ... they were neither!

Next step after the holidays is 'super neighbor' armed with industrial grade polisher and slab of beer! I'll keep the forum posted on the results.

Did you use a film of a brush on coating?

Hi
Good day.
I used a light blue tinting film
Must use a good quality tinting film so it will not fade.

Before tinting, best is to rub it down lightly with any good rubbing compound.
Toothpaste also can do, LOL.

Thank you & have a nice day.

ps: I will installing my GPS tracker/locator with immobilizer tomorrow.
Cost of the device = USD 40.00 from eBay
Will update later.
