Hey Blessed SLK owners
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to replace the spring loaded cover for the Headlight washer. I have the new part but would like a detailed how to list of the simplest way to replace. I have a 2001 slk320. The shiny painted part on the Headlight washer, on the front bumper is missing on the old part. I am tempted to remove this part from the new part but It is riveted on and I am afraid I might damage it on removal. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

After receiving no replies, I made a new cover. I traced the old cover onto a flat piece of steel about the right thickness, cut it to shape, silver soldered two small flat head screws to the backside to match the rivet holes, sanded/ polished & painted it and bolted it on with two matching nuts. It actually looks better than the original. This was easier for me than removing the front end and bumper.
