SWEET! I slept in the garage last night with my 'new' 2006 SLK 280. Thanks for the advice yesterday, looks like I have another six months to look for/worry about an extended warranty. My MAIN concern is the car came from the dealership (CarMax) with no owner's manual. I was able to download one as a PDF file (500 pages) but was wondering if anyone knew how to purchase an actual owners manual for this specific vehicle...so many buttons and little features but I am clueless as so where to begin, what the maintenence schedule should be, etc...

I found a site that offers one on DVD/CD-ROM but for around $150 which is about what I'd pay to print off and bind all 500 of these PDF pages.

Any insight into getting a hardcopy owners manual will be greatly appreciated.

Really? The dealership can order you one? Can they order the whole owner's case with everything? There are several 2005-2006 SLK owners manuals on ebay right now, but they are sold with the case and other assorted manuals and booklets. Here's one

My document wallet is fabric, not leather as shown in the ebvert - is leather standard in the States, or just on 55's?
I think it's standard on all the SLK in US. Maybe someone with a state-side non '55 can confirm.
