Had my OEM steering wheel covered

Too excited to wait till it's on to show you.

I bought another original one from a breaker's then sent it off to be re-covered. Arrived today.

Nappa leather with dark red stitching. Helluva bargain! They recovered it and sent it back for 120 Euros!

Very impressed with the quality.
Just pacing around waiting for the air bag module to de-thingie, then getting it on.

New one in the box, old one still on the car at the mo.

Whoop!!! ????? I'm a happy girl.

Very very nice!

That must feel real nice to grip hold of, just like driving a new car.

One thing that bugs me on the slk 171 is the steering wheel .
Looks good with the steering control buttons ,
But to me its not a meaty enough feel and look .

Looking good and not to bad a price to

Hi @kingronnie. Thanks. I'm really happy with it so far. We'll see how she drives tomorrow. The wheel feels so much thicker now and meaner / sportier looking. Which is what I wanted. Still got my old one to see how it works out.

I use a company called Leder Lenkrad ( Leder = leather and Lenkrad = steering wheel) Fancy that.

Link below:
Leder Lenkrad im Austausch in Erlensee / Frankfurt Main mit kostenlosem Einbau | eBay

It's a German company in Frankfurt and from what I can see on their listing - they only do shipping to Germany - they pay to ship it back to the customer. But.....nothing stopping you emailing them and asking if they would do yours for you. No harm in asking. As long as you pay all the shipping costs, I don't see the problem.

They do all makes of cars.

Can't wait to get up tomorrow and drive her with the new wheel.

Whoop! Sad. Am I sad?

Erm......guys, after driving her for the first time this morning....I'm 45 years old and I think I've only just found out today that I think I might have a nappa leather steering wheel fetish

Should I be worried? ?
Naaaaaa, just go with it !!
