Grrrr, holes in my front bumper!

So, my SLK came down from Maryland, where I presume front plates are "a thing", but here in Georgia, they are not. So, I took the front plate holder off my car tonight, only to find they drilled straight through the front bumper, and pretty sloppily at that! :crying:

I doubt it was done at the dealership where I bought the car, and most likely done at time of original purchase, but now it's a mar on my otherwise pristine baby.

Sure, I could put the front plate bracket back on, but I would rather not have it there... it too is ugly.

Does anyone have any tips on how I could repair these small, but sightly, holes in my front bumper?

Well that sucks :crying: I think the only way to do a decent job is find out from you local MB dealership if they have a repair specialist that visits the dealership; all the dealerships that I have used generally have a mobile paint guy that comes once or twice a week to do minor repairs and scrapes on new and used cars..yes even new ones get knocked and scratched. At least they will have the correct paint color and will do a bang up job.

Try and speak with the paint guy yourself, those I used I dealt with directly...cash is king....anyway they were very reasonably priced and did a bang up job.

Thanks for the link.

This would work if they had done a decent job drilling the holes, but it looks like they tried three or even four times before getting it right.
Seems that even Mercedes dealers employ Stevie Wonder clones.
