Hi All. The name is Colin and located in Nottinghamshire, UK.
I'm no stranger to Mercs having owned 4 now. Just bought a 2013 SLK 250 CDI AMG. Low-miler in stunning condition. I've used the forum numerous times in the past but never introduced myself. Lots of useful stuff and helpful people.
One question - don't laugh - I can't for the life of me get the interior lights to work. Not even the reading lights. Puzzled.. I have checked a couple of fuses and they are fine. Anyone put me out of my misery?

Welcome to the forum from central Florida. Lights? Perhaps switch position or fuses? If not either of those, bulbs or wiring.

Tim
Thanks

Hello Tim and thanks for the reply. Wet and dull here.. bet it isn't in Florida! I've checked bulbs and fuses. The car still has 3 months manufacturers warranty so I'll most likely get them to have a look.
It was a cooler than normal week here, with some rain too. Yesterday was a beautiful day though and the SLK was out with the top down!!!

Sounds like the warranty will be the way to go with your lights.

Tim

Many thanks

Many thanks to all of you that have welcomed me to the forum. Quite a widely-spread bunch; from Europe to the States!
I had a R170 SLK230 a few years ago and have never gotten over selling it. Having a fixed roof is no substitute for 'top down' and grinning from ear to ear. When I sold my CLC200K recently I thought 'you know what, I'm going to get me another SLK!'. I'll post a piccy when I can get some decent weather :frown:
Thanks also for mentioning the local owner meetings. I'll check that out.
Regards to you all.

Hi Colin, and welcome from the UK Midlands! :)

As already mentioned by others, we have quite a few members here in the Midlands and we like to get together from time to time, often including a cooked breakfast somewhere and always plenty of talk about cars. If you'd like to join us sometime, just keep an eye on the UK Region section, as we post our plans there... In fact, it's been a while now since we last did breakfast, so we really should start thinking about another meet very soon! :D
