Joined the forum here just for grins. Looking at a slk55 amg (new) for my wife...and I think the bug bit me, too. What a cool car. Anyway, just wanted to check-in. Thanks for the forum and the info here.

I once was her mechanic (when I was doing that sort of thing)...and she has driven many of my cars, even before we were married...so that throws that right out the window. heeheehee
Having said that, the phrase "go get your own" has a nice ring to it and opens some doors, wouldn't you say... :grin:

See, the truth is, when I said 'the bug bit me' on my OP...well, I plan to acquire one, too. That may sound like overkill, but it is what it is... my wife desires one; and I'm looking at my own SLK55 to snort around in for grins. So there you go....besides, if my wife wants to borrow the keys to one of my cars (and she does)...lol....welp it goes both ways in our house with that. :laugh: And 'no' isn't an unreasonable word, as long as it's not in selfishness. heeheehee
Right now I'm "educating" myself on all the upgrades and such that are available. Sure wish Akrapovic or Eisenmann offered a system for this model. Thanks, all!

2012 SLK350 4 months in 2015
2014 SLK55 AMG since August.
I loved my 2012 SLK350; it had everything I thought my roadster should have. Great times driving top down in the swamps and cruising with my lady with audio at full volume (MP3 audio, not my lady).
Until.....
I drove a -55 AMG.
Nothing but good times ahead.
