It might be worth contacting Bradley 61496 - he's recently stripped down his full dash, and, more to the point, re-assembled it, without tooo many (big!!) bits left over.

glovebox

My problem is the hook that keeps the door closed came off. It is not broken but can't be screwed back in because there is nothing to hold it.
I can't believe the post with a broken hook says MB won't fix it & it costs over $300 for a new glove box.
I'm going to take to a dealer tomorrow morning & see what can be done
Thanks for the help.

glovebox

Dealer is ordering a clamp for me that screw goes into. It is coming from Germany so they must not have this happen very often

glovebox

Another dealer had the part that we ordered & we got it today. It isn't what we thought. Dealer has no idea what part would work. I spent the day trying to get it to screw in. Nothing seems to work.
HELP anyone have any idea besides buying a new glovebox???

Glove box fixed

I took my car to our long time family garage. They fixed the glove box problem for under 80 dollars. Thank you for your help.
