Just starting to look around for a roadster for weekend drives. Looking for a nice low mileage R171 55 in any colour but silver. (Why are there so many silver ones? Horrible colour.) Hope the extract some info from the experts here as to what problems to look for.

Cheers
H.P.

welcome mate !!!!
I also prefer other colours as well, black and then white are my favorite, I think with silver, it doesn't get noticed if it is dirty.... I "had" black, (had - because 2 weeks ago had a accident), black gets dirty and is easily noticeable as compared to my old toyota silver car

Hi H.P. And welcome to the Forum from the Northside of Brisbane. Nice looking 55, sometimes you can't always get what you want (I think there may be a song in that somewhere), but I'm sure you'll enjoy the top down driving. If you get tired of the silver, you can always get it wrapped in whatever colour you want. Hope to catch up with you on some of our runs.

Hi H.P, I think mainly because, silver was a freebie from factory, black as well if memory serves, all the other colours were an option you payed extra for (europe 2005)
