Had to change the torque arm bushings recently so here is a brief not so great DIY (but it still should help). Note that I use a specialty tool to extract and install the bushing, the bushing in this application are the same size as w203 (My tool includes sizes for 211 and 203). The alternative to the tool is replacing the arm (more cost effective to get the tool if doing both sides) or using a press which requires pressing out the ball joint. I highly recommend the tool.

Symptoms of failing bushings:
- Abnormal tire wear (inner or outer or both)
- Steering twitching when braking at slow speed
- Abnormal sound or slipping when turning with significant lock on uneven surfaces
- Abnormal Caster when alignment is checked (unstable alignment)

1. Raise side of vehicle to work on
2. Remove first two under body panels
3. Remove wheel
4. Remove torque arm bolt and slide arm downwards (use a piece of cardboard to avoid damage with the other arms)

7. Assemble tool with new bushing to install and drive until there is about 9mm protruding on either side.

8. Slide the arm back in place and replace the bolt but do not tighten yet
(If you have trouble locating it just right to slide the bolt a screwdriver should help)

9. Return the suspension to "Ready to drive condition" by raising the arm with another jack or replacing the wheel and using a ramp.

10. Tighten the nut to 120nm and then 180 degrees.

11. Remove jack or ramp

12. Replace under body panels and lower vehicle

13. Re torque wheel
