front speaker connection to audio 20

as per this http://www.billsden.org/fileadmin/media/mercedes/slk/docs/train_audio_comm.pdf the audio 20 outputs FL, FR, RL, RR, where does the single center speaker get its output from.

It's summed from the front L + R .... and it's done in the wiring loom between the quadlock and the centre speaker.

thanks, explains enough for my purposes.. although i am interested to know how that works, if there was one sound coming from the right channel and one from the left, the center will play both together? Does it require hardware to make it happen
