Does it even run? An average of 18 miles per year!! But hey, you get a new battery. By the way, I wonder what that thing with the Audi name and logo is doing with the owner's manual...

It belongs to the owner of the Subaru dealership where it is being sold. He supposedly collects cars this way and keeps them in climate controlled storage.

It's now on ebay too.

If I had just boatloads of money, being a fan of SLKs, I would buy this. I know it could have some issues. However, how fun it would be to drive home a cosmetically brand new 1999 SLK 230. It would be a blast, like a time warp, but brand new.

So I'd understand "collecting" an AMG - a sin, as they are meant to drive - but don't understand mothballing a 230? Would be like driving through a time warp, wouldn't it!

I can't imagine that it is good for a car to just sit like that..

If there was fuel in the lines, no.

If there was a lot of fuel in the tank, no.

Oil will undoubtedly need to be changed.

Fuel lines will probably need to be severely cleaned or replaced.

Fuel tank will need to be cleaned or changed.

Oil pan might need to be cleaned or changed.

Leather's good, though! ^_^
