After overnight rain my battery died. I jump started it in morning and noticed that fog lights were on even without turning the switch on. I turned the car off and fog lights were still on. What are usual area of short circuit in car?

#2 ·
is the light switch pulled out to engage fogs inadvertently?

#4 ·
but is it pulled out or pushed in? that usually controls the fogs

#6 ·
dang! there went that idea.

Definitely wet PSE. Read some of the threads on here for more details. But basically you'll need to pull it out, dry it out, and then put it back in. Make sure you clean out your drains and seal up any leaks to prevent it from getting wet again.
