After overnight rain my battery died. I jump started it in morning and noticed that fog lights were on even without turning the switch on. I turned the car off and fog lights were still on. What are usual area of short circuit in car?

is the light switch pulled out to engage fogs inadvertently?

Definitely wet PSE. Read some of the threads on here for more details. But basically you'll need to pull it out, dry it out, and then put it back in. Make sure you clean out your drains and seal up any leaks to prevent it from getting wet again.

Fog lights stay on after you get out of the car dont they?

(at least mine do) and then shut off like a few minutes later, but stay on if I leave the door open. May be a door sensor or something similar too.

fog and running lights not going off

I have the same problem. Fog and parking lights do not go off unless battery is disconnected. What did you finally end up doing. My PSE was completely dry. I live in New Mexico.
Thank You.

I took the bottem off of the PSE and found that the relay closest to the outside middle was stuck closed. I put some matchbook cardboard between the points and now all works well but no fog lights but who needs fog lights in the high desert.
Thank you for getting back.
