hey guys forum is looking good:)
now im not a slk owner but my father is but is not in to all the internet stuff :)
anyhow he has not had it long so first thing he wanted to do was check the oil now he cant find the dipstick ?
ive told him it will be read / protected by sensor's and levels on the dash just wanted to comfirm this ? ( its a slk 55 amg )

:)Hi and welcome from Virginia. You're correct, no oil dipstick on the SLK 55. Check with dash menu.

Welcome from NE England. If you don't trust the electronics (and there is no reason why you shouldn't) you can buy a dipstick for it.

Welcome from southern Californa. Do a search on getting into the Dyno mode for the SLK55, in there you will find a way to check engine oil level (on level surface of course) measured in liters/quarts.
