After a couple years of searching off and on, and going through several other vehicles, I was able to buy my first SLK55. Right before I found this one I went to look at one at a local dealer, they were pulling the for sale sticker off the car as I pulled up. Then I was browsing the for sale section on the forum and found a 1 owner, 40k mile, diamond silver for sale in Oregon,(I live in Washington state, about 5 hours North),. I flew there this morning and they met me at the Eugene Oregon airport, about 45 minutes later I was driving home in it, only took 4 hours of smiles with the help of the AMG lol! That was the best 4 hour drive of my life, I'm very pleased with the purchase, and I know the owner was sad to let it go. I've already been in touch with 1 local member, I hope I can meet a few more.

I've only owned it for 4 days and without a doubt it was the right decision. My wife wasn't too sure about it, she wasn't happy when I sold my Mustang GT, but after taking her for a ride in the 55 that all changed, the heated seats, air scarf, and a push of the accelerator was all it took. Thanks for being so welcoming, my only regret is not buying one sooner.

Congratulations, i wanted a 55 but I just didn’t want to fork over the extra $$ for the gas bill every fill-up!
So I got a 350. Tell the truth, my last car is an S2000 and when i first filled up the SLK a couple of times my eyes bulged at the pump, especially here in California. My s2000 has a 10.5 gallon tank and a fill-up was always reasonable! After 18 years with the Honda, I’m very happy with the SLK that I found with 50k and I know you will be too!
A lot of low mileage SLK’s out there!

Hey Roscop, did you ever look at the ‘05 55 in Redmond? My brother just bought it a couple of weeks ago and drove it back to Salt Lake City. Same story he immediately fell in love, his wife unsure until she had “the experience”. I love my 32 and am have a hard time not taking it out in our Washington rain!

I saw a couple 55's on Craigslist, I'm not sure which one was in Redmond, but I ran a vehicle history on a couple of them, they either had more owners and/or miles then I liked, or had some questionable history. I really liked that the one I bought was a low mile, 1 owner car, and the price was right as well. I had an 2004 slk32 and loved it as well.
