Want to get 950, shipping will be usps guaranteed+trcking(80$) usa
You can pay however you like pretty much, I can try and be as flexible as possible, and If you want any other items off the car im parting out (06slk350;8000mi {justcheck out the other thread}), pm me and I will combine shipping for cheaper rate.

Price above is 700$ below retail as far as I know, so hopefully its an ok asking price.

Davy,

Good stuff, great price!
So you replace the headers, re-weld the stock-cat's?
Does this mean you need to dump the secondairy cats?

Hey Ben,

Thanks for the inquiry.

Yes, just grind/cut the old weld, re-weld to stock system, easy day.

But being that I removed the cats and the resonator, the stock mufflers buzzed at very low rpm from too much resonance Im guessing. If it were me doing it again, I would leave the stock system alone for sure. The low rpm buzzing got to me after a while.

Hope that helps Ben.

Dave

Sorry Dave, that doen't help at all..
You drove it without primairy and secondairy cats? And without a check-engine light?
What about the mot?

If I use your headers, replace primairy cats, dumb the secundairy's and leave the rest stock, will the sound be buzzing too?

Sorry for my ignorans...

Hey Ben,

No ignorance my friend, but if you still think you are, then converse with me until your mind is changed. ;)

As far as cats go, there was only two cats that I had left after job was done. 1 left, 1 right.

Maybe you mean secondary O2 sensors? (not sec. cats)

But yes, secondary O2 sensors which are placed after cats, did read gas mixture differently after cats were removed so it did pop a code/yellow triangle light.

Exhaust mods dont alter readings from primary O2 sensors(as far as I know), which is the only ones that really matter, as told to me by the tuner, and the car did run fine, and only popped a code for faulty cats, so checkengine light was only a nuisance, but keep in mind it can be a big problem if something additonal goes wrong and you dont know bacause your used to the light always being on anyway.

All I remember is cutting out two (2) cats and one (1) resonator, replacing headers , welding them directly to h-pipe. done.

I doubt it would buzz with total stock setup. Better to check with a proffessional to be sure, a simple email should suffice.

The slight low-rpm-only buzz might not of even came from the exhaust, but I needed to mention the buzz just in case. I suspect it was due to the resonator being removed which made it vibrate harder...

Hope that helps you further Ben. Please pm me if you are still interested as if not, i may pair it with the eisenmann exhaust I just got out of storage today to see if that would sell any faster. Thanks very much for your quality questions.

Very Respectfully,

Dave

Dave,

Here we go again...
There still is some mix-up about what the second ballon is in the 350 exhaust system.( on both sides)
Some say its a secundairy cat( without any sensors) , others say its a muffler or resonator.
My thoughts;, buy your headers, reweld the primairycats and sensors and then straith on to th X-pipe.
I lose the original headers and secondairy "items".
What't your thought about the orange annuisance in this set up?

How much for the headers if ask you very, very friendly?
(I can send you some naked pictures of my girlfriend if that might help?)

Ben,

Thanks for the clarification, now I see what you mean. But Im sorry to say but I do not have the cats / parts in question anymore as I sold them to the guy who let me use his lift to install the headers.

I listed the headers for 950, but with the pics of your gf (LOL), I can go 150 lower to 800 + shipping via usps to your location. How is that?

Very Respectfully,

Dave

Jk about the pics. I realize shipping to your location will be extra so that is why I go lower in price. ;)

Hey Ben - don't know that this helps you a whole lot, but I happened to wander down to my favorite MB Indy in Houston simply cause they were doing an quad pipe setup on a 350. On a 2005 US spec 350, the "secondary" things that look like cats on the outside are 100% not cats, but some sort of baffle resonator chamber/muffler.

Result! John for president!

I never understood why MB wanted to put in a cat without any sensors!
I don't want to say "I told you so, but...".
John, did you see plates or the well known perforated tube inside?

Dave,

Thanx for the offer, my girlfriend is very pleased with the $150 pricetag.
personaly I think she is worth much more ( because she is reading these posts too).
Let me do some checking and I'll get back to you...

Ok - so a '55, you absolutely, positively have 4 cats, and the two that are next to the resonator are cats. On the '350 it's a combination of what looks like a perforated tube with baffles.

And John, remember I am from holland so use small words..
Baffles? You mean plates? Could you look through the muffler?

Regards. Ben.

Dave,

$ 800 for the 2000miles young headers is out of this world!
Unfortunately it is less expensive for my to hop on the plane and pick up the headers myself at your front door, due to shipping costs and taxes...
I guesse UPS isn't aware of the crisis out there...

If I would have lived in the US, it would have been a done-deal...
Sorry to have waisted your time, good luck with the sales!

Respectfully, Ben.
