Hi snell. thats alot of money. I think you should just remap it. Thats what im going to do, still deciding on what compony to useI'm just looking into this now myself.
Both Carlsson and Brabus has ECU-trims for all R172 engines.
The very best thing with this kits are that MB-dealers can fit it and
you don't loose the warranty.
The Brabus comes in two trims, The B20 kit and the B20S kit.
The difference is that the B20 S comes with a bigger charge air cooler and an electronic sports wastegate.
The specs from Brabus says you gain 26hp on the small kit and 41hp on the large kit. See link below.
Prices in Sweden are 1300€ +tax and 1900€ +tax not incl. installation.
