Eaton M45 Supercharger Coupler Replacement

I want to replace the plastic coupler between the snout and the supercharger rotor assembly. Instead of removing the entire supercharger from the engine, I plan to only remove the snout (simply removing 8 bolts in front). Is the supercharger oil sealed in the snout and don't need to empty it first before removing the snout from the supercharger body?

Update: Yes, must empty oil first.
