I'm trying to find full dyno results (chart or graph, whatever is the name) before and after ECU remapping. I'll be interested in doing the remapping, but pure "we'll do 200 from 163KM" isn't good enough for me. Anyone has those results?

I don't think you'll get those sort of figures just from a remap, maybe if you do it together with the installation of a smaller pulley as well...

OK, I think the magic number 200 twisted my message. Let's say 163 to 180KM. I'd like to see the torque/power curves as the max power is just a number. I mean something like this:

but with real measurements for a real car, not with nice drafted lines (grey lines!)

The facelift 200 outputs 184bhp so mercs squeezed out a few more bhp
From the engine .
And by tweaking the ecu etc

And with 10mm smaller supercharger pulley, they did it at the R171 facelift.
Im sure it can be squeezed out a little more with performance air filter / exhaust manifold ( kleemans )
Etc and a further ecu update .
Hitting a little over 200bhp

But sadly what im hearing these are weakish engines !?

I've never heard these are weakish engines... if you mean the lifetime with performanced things then it mainly depends on the ECU programming how close is your performance to the "border". If you even getting close it your engine lifetime will getting shorter but I think it is normal.

To the first part: I thinks you can easily and cheaply reach 190HP/300Nm (preFL R171) with a smaller SC pulley and an ECU remap. It is more or less a factory solution regarding to the FL R171 and doesn't have react on the engine's lifetime.

Every more 5-10 HP is too expensive and you won't feel 5-10 more HP nor 15. Just for the numbers to over the 200HP doesn't worth it in my opinion.

Ive heard it mention on here a few times from firms saying they wont do x y and z to these engines stipulating the words weak engines etc .

Just what ive read 👍

Remap results
Max 180hp
182ftlb
Got is done at Couture Auto in Dunboyne 8253949. Good lads to deal with.
Search for the following threads
Remap
Dyno readings
Powerchip ecu upgrade
Have no other performance mods at the moment.
Did have the car lowered on H&R springs but have it back to stock, springs in the shed.
Upgraded the brake discs
Did a few asthetic things.
Changed the radio
I,ll give you a piece of advice - Do not start adding to or changing bits of the car unless you have money and self control, as I sure a lot of people here would agree:grin:
