Here's my VIN No.: WDB1714562F176453

Would appreciate the info. as I'm double checking the engine number for another thread.

Not sure what to make of this but I did indeed try one of the other VIN checkers before posting here and what I found is that the engine number appears to be correct BUT why does the year 2002 appear on that information???

Anyways. APPARENTLY my car was made in Germany???

But let's see what this Data Card says.

Basically I'm trying to see whether or not my car's engine number falls within the suspect range of those that had balance shaft sprocket issues.

Wow. That was quick!!! Thanks!!! LOL!!!

Well the engine number is quite correct so no problem there. As I said on the other thread: it apparently falls way outside of the balance shaft sprocket affected engines (and thanks for clearing up the fact that the numbers are sequential worldwide).
