DAB Aerial Location

I have a dilemma where I have a DAB radio ready to fit into my car, but I am struggling to find a good position where I can fit an external DAB aerial.
I have an internal one in my Transporter that works quite well but that is in a nice large windscreen and pretty high up, also that aerial is no longer available and the others I have seen don’t seem as good on reception.
So I would like to fit an external one to either the panel at the top of the windscreen or the boot / trunk.
As yet, I have not had the panel off which runs above the interior mirror to see what room is available for fixing on that panel (this weekend job)
Or how much room is available under the boot / trunk when the roof is down.
So I am hoping someone has already carried out the installation of a DAB aerial, which can possibly give me a few ideas, and possibly some photos showing how you did it and how the finished article looks.
