Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day - the kind of summer day that just begs for top down cruising, so off I went again with the same club as last time. But on a more extensive trip as we headed out early in the am to drive south on a two lane coastal highway towards a small community named Fermeuse (http://www.lighthousepicnics.ca/ ) , for lunch and a tour of the local area. Had the usual mixture of cars again; Miatas, Corvette, Z3, Mustang, British roadsters, even an old Lotus Super 7! All in all, a great day, a good lunch, and lots of warm sunny top down driving.

Of course, some pics :tu:

That car is the product of Lee Iacocca's short time love affair with (then independant and cash-strapped) Maserati back when he ran Chryco - "Chrysler TC by Maserati". A sort of love child between a Maserati Biturbo and Chrysler LeBaron.

It's a different bird for sure, I'd heard of them before but this is the first time I'd seen one.

There was one for sale awhile ago in So Cal, but I didn't bite.
I don't know if I'd want to be tracking down 20+ year old Maserati parts either - but this owner certainly had his kept in great shape.

your SLK is the best car there by miles!
Thanks as well, but I gotta throw this out there - the "best" car is the one you own and drive and enjoy yourself :) , no matter the make or model. And with this group, they are all doing just that - drive them and enjoy them in a bunch along with other car nuts, no matter their stripe. R)
