Obviously he wants people to know that his Chrysler is "really" a Mercedes Benz.

I wonder why he didn't just buy one?

thats a srt-6 roadster and like the slk32 would stomp a hole in a slk55. more mercedes than chrysler.
This is starting to annoy me!
Yes, the 32 and the SRT-6 are close to the 55 in performance; but, all stock, the superior torque of the 55 will outrun the other two.
And yes, low cost modifications will put the 32 and SRT-6 on top.
But then again, a modded 55 will stomp a big a** hole in to a modded 32 with puny 357/372 on the rear wheels.

Of course there is always the little matter of the R172 too :)

I had the coupe version of that car, liked it a lot. It did suck to have the chrysler badge on the front when everything under it said mercedes, but even so, putting the mercedes badge on the front is tacky at best. Of course someone who put that hood scoop on it obviously doesn't care how it looks...

might want to rethink that . the fastest slk55 with a kleeman blower on dragtimes puts down a 11.7. not exactly tearing up the track with what 12,000$ worth of mods. take a 3.2 s/c amg engine add approx 3000$ worth of mods and your seeing 11.7 consistently.
of course the track tells the difference. doubt your 55 is modded enough to run with my puny 12.1 @ 118mph .

I hope you're not assuming quotes from MBWorld as facts. If you are, the person did not say they saw the actual run. They said that they read a post of the 11.7 in a 1/4 and questioned it.

If you read down further, you would have noticed the comment from fishtailnZ said "Fastest timeslip I've seen is from Dan over on SLKworld - he has a 6.1 Brabus with the Kleeman and ran high 10's at 130+ mph. Crazy car!!!"

I know you're just pointing out an opinion, or beating your chest, but plz point out all the information because thats how points become mislead.

referenceable point of conversation:

More Information (if someone determines this is accurate) :

http://www.zeroto60times.com/Mercedes-Benz-0-60-mph-Times.html

Noted:
2001 Mercedes SLK320 ** 0-60 mph 7.4 **Quarter Mile 15.3
2005 Mercedes SLK55 AMG ** 0-60 mph 4.2** Quarter Mile 12.5

I do not know the bowels of either car, but I have read some comments from the SLK55 members here that the SLK55 did 4's 0-60 mph.

Food for thought.
Enjoy,
Dave

430/445 for less than 10K, the only limitation is traction, and I got that well in hand.
Kleemann can take it easily past 500!
No rethinking needed.
