Hi,
I have just noticed on my SLK320 V6 2001 I bought three months ago that all the coil packs are Bosh, and all the leads from Cylinder 1 right through to 6 are placed in exactly the same way. The upper lead on the coil (A) always goes to the left plug on each cylinder and the bottom (B) to the right plug, is that right!??
Can someone please have a look at their SLK320 V6 face-lift model or with the same engine, and tell me how the coil lead order goes with yours. Thank You.
It just seems strange, as the Mercedes coil packs and leads are labeled with letters in order to identify where they are to go, and if it was as simple as all to the right and all others to the left, why would Mercedes have a complex lettering system.
I am getting fuel efficiency reduction of about 70% loss! and I wounder if this might be the cause, as no other fault codes are showing, and nothing else adverse seems to be happening with the cars performance, just a massive mpg loss.
