My mechanic shared with me the idea about rinse the engine with BG product in order to remove any carbon deposit as my R171 already has 190,000 KM, is it a good idea ? worth it??

I don't have any error or failure but fell loss of power delivery.

attached Pic of the products intended to use.

Lots of products out there, I'm not entirely convinced they really do all that much. I do understand the stuff used by Mercedes contains Techron...and you can buy it at pretty much any car stuff store...just an opinion...no science...

Check out Project Farm on YouTube. He does a lot of real world product testing. The stuff on his old Ford Ranger is pretty eye opening.

Many find using Chevron Techron about every 3k to 5k works very well. Using tier-one gasoline is also keeps things inside the engine clean.

R171 is port injection so carbon buildup isn't a big issue.
