G'day everyone, can someone please tell me what this is attached to the side of the centre console ? Have tried to remove it,,,,, there is a screw at the bottom but is still held by something I cannot see. I'm a little scared to use force to pull it.

Not an OEM thing as far as I know. Somebody has done this. Can you lift that pad off and see if there are screws into the edge of the console?

Its a cellphone holder, there mightbe an adhesive strip.

I have tried, perhaps a little more persuasion is needed:laugh:

I figured it must have to do with a cell phone. After loosening the screw at the bottom left of it, it still has something holding it to the console near the top. I can wiggle it around but haven't found the right angle for removal yet.

It may well have another screw at the top , behind the console/buttons panel !

Maybe it's a place to rest some sort of prosthetic device?

How about a bit of heat along the inside edge between the gear shift and the side of the console so you don't hit the console itself. A plastic putty knife will give you leverage without doing any harm.
Clearly since this is not a standard bit of kit, and matches the console colour you might find that a repaint of the console is in your future once you get it off.
