I have a white 2001 SLK 230 6sd manual with black and sand interior. For years I have used a Monster cassette adapter to play my iPod classic. I would like to delete the cd player in the trunk and add an iPod/aux connection in the cabin or glove compartment.

I have used fm transmitters and haven't liked the quality. I don't need phone or Bluetooth connectivity and I'm not a radio listener.

I searched other posts and haven't found an answer.

I am not new to the forum but I haven't posted in a long time. I am in New York City.

HELP. Thanks!

Bipes Adapter

Jerry at Bipes said Mr Bipes stopped making the adapter several years ago. He suggested NAV-TV. They make adapters for Mercedes-Benz/SLK 2005-2008. So I am still looking for a solution.

i'm considering this too... how to get music into the radio from an MP3 player or phone. - It's looking like i may have to replace the radio with a modern unit. - shame as the sound is very nice, specially when the aerial delivers a good signal.

related topic: thoughts on an external aerial mounted on boot lid?
