Did you follow the instructions in the manual?

1 Switch ignition on and immediately press knob 1 twice with- in 1 second.

The present status for days or distance is displayed.

2 Within 10 seconds turn key in steering lock to position 0.

3 Press and hold knob 1 while turning key in steering lock to position 2 again.

The present status for days and dis- tance is displayed once more.

Continue to hold knob 1 until you hear a signal.

4 Release knob 1.
The service indicator now displays the reset interval.

(Knob 1, is the knob to the lower left of the speedometer.)

It took me three tries but it worked. I think I was a little slow on step 1. One second is not a lot of time. You have to be really quick to get the two pushes in within one second of turning the key on. Try that very quickly and see if it works for you.

You're welcome! Glad it worked. And BTW you missed a great meet with a bunch of enthusiastic SLK owners. Try to make the next one.

PS -Thank you MaryKay.
