Hi All,

2012 R172 SLK 250 petrol

Can anybody give me the correct torque settings for a) the front brake calliper bolts, and b) the bolts for the calliper carrier bracket?

Thanks

Thanks for that.

Do I understand correctly from that sheet that both the Calliper bolts and the Calliper sport bracket have the same torque setting?

I ask because a video I found showing replacement on an E Class, had VERY different settings for the two bolts - the calliper ones being lot lower.

Would appreciate advice here.

Many thanks

Hi @i860,

Could you please help me with a related question?

I'm going to replace the front brakes and rotors on my R172 SLK55 (VIN WDDPK7FAXDF049992) and am wondering if the caliper torque settings are any different for AMG brakes from what you posted above for Colin. I've also seen references to the caliper support bolts being single use. However, the SLK55 parts diagrams don't show the bolt. I did find Caliper Mount Bolt - Mercedes-Benz (019-990-80-01) for the SLC43, which I'd think is the same since they're both R172 AMGs. Is it possible to confirm that this bolt is correct?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
