One of my C pillar covers has a small piece missing where it attaches to the metal frame and is now starting to rattle at speeds.
I've been trying to find a replacement on line but no luck,,, dealer wants $125.00 :frown:.

Does anyone know where I could find a good used or replacement for a fair price?

I know, I know,,, "put the top down so you can't hear it" but with rainy season here it's not a good option.

Thanks in advance.

RNVSLK,

Knowing this is an old thread, Im taking the chance that you might remember the supplier you ended up using and pn's# for these items.

If you do could you post?

I think I will have to 'bite the bullet' and I want to do the job on a hot day to try to obviate tabs snapping.

Who is offering the best deal in the UK? My local MBUK want over £40....

I'd say if that is oem, personally, I wouldn't balk.
Any issues and I'd be straight back on a busy Saturday.

I was asking you who is selling for £30. You mentioned that you thought $50 stateside was expensive, so I assumed £30 was still available over here!

Ah! Not something that I looked up personally. And the stateside price quoted was "dealer wants $125.00".
He later found them for $55. :tu:

I am going by the following post at the end of the link I quoted.

@Topaz may remember where he sourced them.

I changed mine at the weekend on both sides as they were faded.

Pretty simple job, takes about 5-10 minutes a side. Old ones will be tough to get off but doesn't matter if you break the guides on those so much when removing. They are about ~£30 a side.

Tap the old ones upwards with a wedge carefully with the roof in a half open position so C pillars are near vertical. (Not imperative but preference for removing, also avoids any damage to roof paint) Leave the ignition on/engine running and the roof will maintain its current position for 5-10 minutes, after it will start beeping and close via gravity so just nudge the open/close button for a second to stop it beeping and it'll restart the clock.

When fitting the new ones just spray grease all over the back of the trims on the actual fixings points and on to the fixings on the car and you can slide them down with your hands easily. Make sure you have pressure on as much surface area of the trim when fitting with both hands to ensure all the latches go into place properly and the trim is flat. If they aren't flat or if they're not aligned properly the trim will snap when you open/close the roof next.

If anyone is interested I ordered some of these earlier in the week from my local dealer, and they are currently £34.20 each+VAT (so £41.04 inc. VAT).
