Hello All,

Happened this week! Trunk does not sit right when closed and the roof has been scratched. Attached are some pics. Left side bracket is touching the roof. Please let me know or point me in the right direction to fix this. The bracket does not look bent or twisted. The roof needs to sit lower in the trunk. Help!:frown:

Adjusting the bolt worked! I think my the trunk is a little high. There is a 1/4 inch gap off the rear quarter panels. How can I adjust the trunk to sit lower?

Take air out of the tires? :D
Sorry, I have exhausted my knowledge.
there are some links within links in those threads btw

you could research in the r171 general discussion section the roof rattle threads. one of the fixes shows how to rotate the rubber bumpers to change the height of contact with the rubber bumpers and the trunk lid

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the help. I was able to lower the trunk by adjusting the bumpers. Realized the rear deck flap (metal plate underneath) is bent lower on the left side. Will have to research and get some time to inspect after vacation.
