Hi All
New to the forum.
I have a year 2000 SLK 230.
Perhaps someone can help me. When the roof goes into boot it sits too low and damages the pant work. There seem to be two rubber stops on either side of the boot lining that should stop the roof going down so far. Can anyone help me with the part number for these ?

Many thanks

Thanks for the welcome messages and suggestions

jbank15 - thanks for the image. Parts 50 and 200 seem to be the bump stops fitted to the frames. What I need is the bump stops fitted to the actual boot sides which pass through the boot side panels from above - towards the rear of the boot.

Welcome from the Sacramento Valley SLK Enthusiasts!

You might apply some felt adhesive pads til you figure it out, to avoid more damage?

I have tried to copy the image from the parts book. I cannot find the part listed but it would fit in the hole just to the left of part 38 Luggage compartment and covering

there is no 38 in epc electronic parts catalog

so make a jpg and upload to the forum as an attachment so we can see what you are seeing

Drag across image which then appears and disappears again within 1 second - will not load in gif or jpeg.

The Merc part number for item 38 is A 008 988 68 78. There is a hole in the right luggage compartment A 170 690 04 25 to the left of item 38 to take the rubber stop

Says part 38 in the diagram I am looking at and 130 in the one you have kindly posted. The part I need goes into the hole to the left which is clearly shown on your upload but does not have a part in it or numbered

if no part number, sorry to say then the part you seek is not sold separately but comes with a larger part then

pencil drawings do not always show everything

maybe it comes with the part 130/38 you seek

have you tried a parts site to see if their part shows what you seek?
