Bluetooth setup

Hi, as I had mentioned in the new member area, I just recently purchased a SLK 55 AMG and could not be happier. I opened the center console and low and behold, there was this strange alien looking instrument (pictures below) that I knew not what to do with. Thankfully the forum came to my rescue and people informed me that it was a bluetooth kit. Now my question is, how do I actually go about using it? Can I pair my moto droid 2 with it? And will it pick up music as well as calls? Also it seems to have a small slot on its bottom portion, almost like a battery holder, does it need to be equipped with anything else?

Thanks in advance

Please update your location/vehicle (model and yr) in your profile as it helps the members answer any questions you might have based on locale and model and year.
Usercp at the top of page, edit your details, location/vehicle.
DONE! I managed to do the pairing myself... Phone works perfectly.

BUT, is there any way to stream music through it as well? Not just phone calls.
Nah, no streaming unfortunately unless you upgrade pretty much everything in the car ICE wise! :p

What do I need to upgrade?
"Upgrade" really isn't the correct concept, as there is no OE equipment to do this. You'll have to use aftermarket stuff, and that's almost never an "upgrade."

NTG 2.5 COMAND + Media Interface + Media Interface Plus == Bluetooth Audio Streaming among other things.

Not cheap, and Adam's convinced it's killed his voice quality when he's using the phone over bluetooth, but it's all MB with no aftermarket. There's new firmware and bootloader out this month, so maybe that will improve things.

Thanks for keeping me up to date on 2.5 stuff.

I'm stuck in the '05-'08 era it seems. Also not happy that in the USA 2.5 appears to mean no more cradles.
